Welcome! All programs have a degree of bilingualism (English and Spanish) and most of the stories come from Latin American or Hispanic cultures.
Each program may include 3 to 4 stories. Sessions for Pre-K and K are of 30 min each or less. Sessions for 1st graders to 5th graders are 45 min.

Bienvenid@s, cada programa tiene un grado de bilingüismo y la mayoría de los cuentos provienen de culturas Latino Americanas.

Orejas, trompas y colas: ¡cuentos de animales y otras cosas!
En este espectáculo, los niños aprenden cómo la naturaleza, las criaturas y los elementos llegaron a ser lo que hoy son. ¡Usaremos nuestra imaginación para aprender cómo el elefante obtuvo su trompa, por qué usamos la noche del armadillo y por qué el conejo tiene orejas largas! En esta narración de cuentos los más chicos participan, actúan y cantan.
Un océano de cuentos
¿Qué historias estarán contando los peces bajo las aguas? Descubramos los cuentos que explican cómo los peces aprendieron a hablar, por qué las ballenas viven en el océano y cómo el mundo de hoy llegó a ser después de una inundación. ¡Prepárate para participar, actuar y cantar!
Ears, trunks, and tails, don't we love animal tales!
In this show, children learn how nature, creatures, and the elements came to be. We will use our imagination to witness how the elephant got his trunk, why we use the armadillo's night, and why the rabbit has long ears! The younger ones are often delighted with these stories as they get to participate, act, and chant.
An ocean of tales
Wondering what stories fish are telling under the waters? Join me in discovering the tales that explain how the fish learn to talk, why whales live in the ocean, and how today's world came to be after a flood. Be ready to participate, act and chant!

When big fellows ruled the world: stories of selfish and stubborn giants.
Long ago the giants walked the earth. Some were nice, others not so much. Those with the tendency to wreak havoc met their match in the tales of brave children and fellows that found ingenious ways to teach them a lesson. From Ireland to the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest to the cold landscapes of La Patagonia, these old tales will stir the imagination of the young ones.

One of the best ways to celebrate the fabulous and intriguing Latin-American heritage is through its Mythology. This show is for those curios niños y niñas, children who ask: why the night is dark? How many times took to create the world? Why the moon is single? Has the sky fallen before? These questions will be answered while using our imagination!
Three magical adventures where magic shawls, bags of money, and golden cups, wait for someone to find them out!
Let's travel through some clever and adventurous fairy tales and folktales from Spain to Latin America. In these stories, we will meet resourceful tweens, a greedy skeleton, and some angry creatures roaming at the world's end. Be aware that one or two spells are cast, where the imagination becomes the best magic act.
Cuando los grandes gobernaron el mundo: historias de gigantes egoístas y obstinados.
Hace mucho tiempo, los gigantes caminaron por la tierra. Algunos eran amigables, pero otros no tanto. Aquellos con la tendencia a causar problemas fueron enfrentados por niños valientes y otros que usaron su ingenio para enseñarles una lección. Cuentos Mayas: De Xibalba a la Luna.
El pueblo maya cuenta algunas de las historias más intrigantes y aventureras. Viajemos a los tiempos en que los pájaros enseñaban a los mayas a cantar, dos hermanos visitaban el inframundo, la luna cae del cielo y un monstruo con dientes de diamantes aterrorizaba a los antiguos mayas. Ven a disfrutar de algunos de los mitos más fascinantes de América.
Espeluznante América Latina
Desde el Río Grande hasta la Patagonia, la gente ha hablado de varias apariciones espeluznantes que aún asustan a quienes las encuentran. Conoce a la patasola, una mujer con una pierna que persigue a los hombres, a un perro con una siniestra advertencia y a un gaucho (vaquero argentino) que busca quien ocupe su lugar entre los muertos. ¡Ten en cuenta que estos fantasmas se despiertan cada vez que se cuentan sus historias!

Let's travel to the times when the birds taught the Maya how to sing, two brothers visited the underworld, the moon fell from the sky, and a monster with diamond teeth terrified the ancient Maya. Come to enjoy some of the most fascinating myths in the Americas.
Spooky Latin America
From the Rio Grande down to la Patagonia, people have spoken of several eerie apparitions that still scare those who encounter them. Meet a woman with one leg that haunts men, a dog with an ominous warning, and a gaucho (Argentine cowboy) looking for someone to take his place among the dead. Be aware that these spooky fellows are awakened once their stories are told!

¡Hombres sin cabeza, brujas y minas de oro para aquellos que buscan un tesoro!
En todo el suroeste de los Estados Unidos, se cuentan muchas historias increíbles. Legendas como el jinete sin cabeza, historias de brujas que se convierten en búhos y vaqueros en busca de riquezas que no han sido reclamadas. Estas historias están inspiradas en historias reales y probablemente serán del interés y el deleite de aquellos que buscan tesoros.
Día de los Muertos
Generaciones de personas en Mesoamérica han confiado en que los antepasados regresan a visitar a sus familias cada año. La mejor manera de dar la bienvenida a los ancestros es proporcionarles comida, flores y regalos. Pero ¿qué sucede cuando ignoramos las almas de aquellos que murieron solos? ¿O cuando olvidamos a nuestros parientes muertos? ¿O cuando una mujer curiosa se encuentra con los animas benditas? Across the SOUTHWEST of the United States, many unbelievable tales are told. Legends such as the headless horseman looking to trade his severed head, tales of witches turning into owls, and cowboys hunting for riches that have not been claimed. These stories are inspired on true tales and will likely be the interest and delight of those searching for wealth.
Day of the Dead
Generations of people in Mesoamerica have trusted that their ancestors come back to partake with their living families every year. The best way to welcome back the ancestors is to provide them with food, flowers, and presents. But what happens when we ignore the souls of those who died alone? Or when we forget our dead relatives? Or when a curios woman meets the animas (Blessed souls)? From time to time, the spirits find a way to remind us that they are still around and expect us to honor or help them. Join me in remembering the stories and traditions that celebrate The Day of The Dead (Día de Los Muertos).

Al ser una niña introvertida desarrolle lo que algunos llamaron "una imaginación exagerada" y una disposición a desmayarme al hablar con extraños. A pesar de los mejores esfuerzos de mis padres al animarme a ser una emprendedora y explicarme cómo el mundo " realmente funciona", apliqué mi ingenio para eludir la aburridora responsabilidad que significa crecer. ¿Qué puedo decir? ¡Soy una hija única!
Cuentos de fantasmas que me contó mi madre.
Mi madre me contó historias que había escuchado o experimentado donde fantasmas y otras cosas extrañas les dieron a los vivos un buen susto. Estas narraciones nos llevan desde una casa embrujada con fantasmas burlones a una escuela primaria donde los muertos parecen estar de vuelta para aprender matemáticas y asustar a los vivos. Ten en cuenta que estas historias, aunque increíbles realmente sucedieron.
True tall tales from my childhood in Colombia
Being an introverted child caused me to develop what some called "an exaggerated imagination" and a disposition to faint when talking to strangers. Despite my parents' best efforts encouraging me to be an entrepreneur and explaining how the world "really works," I applied my ingenuity to elude the responsibility that entitled me to grow up. What can I say? I am an only child!
Ghost tales my mom told me.
I grew up listening to my mother tell stories she had heard or experienced when apparitions and other strange things gave the living a good scare. These stories take us from a haunted house with mocking ghosts to an elementary school where the dead seem to be back to learn math and frighten the living. Be aware that these although unbelievable stories truly happened.

El ascenso y la caída de los aztecas (Histórico)
Los aztecas fueron una de las culturas más desarrolladas que los conquistadores españoles encontraron cuando llegaron por primera vez a las Américas. Los aztecas, también conocidos como Mexicas se consideraban los herederos de la gran cultura tolteca. Durante su breve reinado de cien años, conquistaron y expandieron su imperio en lo que hoy es Mesoamérica. Este espectáculo de narración lleva al público a los inicios de la cultura Mexica hasta su desaparición. Comenzamos con el mito de la creación de la diosa hambrienta; continuamos con una leyenda de cómo sus antepasados nómadas (los chichimecas) consolidaron el imperio azteca, y finalizamos con una conspiración política que marco el comienzo de la caída de los Mexicas.

Acompáñame en este espectáculo literario, donde presento a dos maestros de la ciencia ficción y la literatura fantástica hispanohablante: Ángeles Vicente y Alfonso Reyes. En dos de sus mejores cuentos, conoceremos a un científico loco dispuesto a hacer lo impensable para liberar el alma y una mano cortada que va en busca del sentido de la vida.
The rise and fall of the Aztecs (Historical)
The Aztecs were one of the most developed cultures the Spanish conquistadors encountered when they first reached the Americas. The Aztecs, also known as Mexicas considered themselves the inheritors of the great Toltec culture. During their brief reign of a hundred years, they conquered and expanded their empire in what is today, Mesoamerica. This performance takes the audience from the beginnings of the Aztec culture to their demise. We start with the Aztec creation myth of a Hungry Goddess; we continue with a legend of how their nomadic ancestors (the Chichimec) consolidated the Aztec empire, and we finalize with a political conspiracy that set the stage for the fall of the Mexicas.

Join me in this literary show, where I present two masters of the early Hispanic science fiction and fantasy literature: Angeles Vicente and Alfonso Reyes. In two of their best short stories, we meet a mad scientist willing to do the unthinkable to liberate the soul and a severed hand that goes in search of the meaning of life.
